Will liturgical church members miss heaven — quite possibly. It's your choice.OK, will liturgical believers miss heaven — quite possibly. But it’s your choice. Liturgical churches don’t normally teach either of the requirements for salvation. I say that with deep sorrow. I was raised Episcopalian. After I harvested many crops of wild oats, I actually met Jesus in a home Bible study out of the Episcopal church. I currently consider myself to be a non-fellowshipping Anglican.

We have watched denominational churches almost universally ignore teaching about rebirth. Truth be told, many non-denominational churches do not teach much about it either (by assuming a quick sinner’s prayer is enough). But many liturgical churches consider rebirth to be heretical—calling them experiential believers. I do not want to debate those lies. Baptismal salvation is not a godly alternative. And rebirth is detectable objectively. I experienced no emotion when I was reborn. Only some joy afterward.

It’s been my experience that people do not experience their rebirth until they radically repent of all their sin. In my opinion, this is why it takes so long for many people to manifest the changes in their life. I’ve written several posts recently about how much it helps to regularly ask the Holy Spirit to show you all your sin. Then you repent of everything He shows you. There will be a lot at first, followed by much smaller quantities as it comes part of your habitual walk in the Holy Spirit.

So, will liturgical believers miss heaven — but it’s your choice.

Jesus made it clear in John 3 that we must be born again, or born of God, to even see the Kingdom. The Bible does not give a procedure. One excellent way is asking the Holy Spirit to show you all your sin and then repent of all of them, then asking Jesus to forgive you. Once you’re forgiven, you finish by asking Jesus to come live within you as your Lord and King.

That also satisfies the only other absolute requirement — you must know Jesus, have personal relationship with Him, and talk with Him.

The start of your personal relationship is when you ask the Holy Spirit to show you all your sin. Then repent and ask Jesus to forgive you. Then ask Jesus to come within you and live there. Once you are reborn, all your prayer becomes directly talking with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Ask Jesus to show you by the Holy Spirit how you can communicate more clearly.

Plus you will be given the power to make the changes talked about in Romans 12: 1&2. All of this will enable you to not miss heaven, but to hear Jesus when He comes to pull out the church.

Lord, give the people who read this post the grace to do what is necessary. Guide them on their individual path. Jesus, I know I can trust you to transform anyone who seriously pursues you. Amen.
