Another year with little enthusiasm for many
Another year with little enthusiasm for many. Everyone tells me that 2021 was worse than 2020. However, for me, they were two of the best years of my life. I’ve written about that quite a bit.
What I want to cover tonight is simple fact—our groom is coming to pick us up soon. Much sooner than most people believe, we will be with Jesus. That’s worth a little enthusiasm, don’t you think? Yea, the world is falling apart and headed for Hell in most cases. But surely that’s not a surprise—is it? That’s been happening with increasing strength since the end of WWII.
The key phrase might be, this generation shall not pass away. The best I’ve heard and determined—that’s 70, or maybe 80 years after 1948. Israel’s birth started the countdown as far as I can tell.
Another year with little enthusiasm is a repentable offense
These are the most exciting times in the history of earth, in many ways. The second Great Remodel is coming which will change things almost as much as Noah’s flood. Our Messiah and betrothed will be installed and seated on his Throne in Jerusalem shortly. We get to go through the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, very soon. We get to exchange this rapidly deteriorating lump of flesh for a fully functional body which is eternal. I mean, the list goes on for a long ways.
Satan’s world, the kosmos, is about to be destroyed, eliminated. Government, worldly entertainment, the legal system, education, the health system, the economic system, and all the rest will be gone or have a radical redo. The bondage of technology will be shattered. The Creep, himself, will be locked up for a thousand years.
Lift your head, straighten your knees, raise your eyes, listen intently, for the final trumpet is about to be blown. What a wonderful life we are facing in the near future. What an incredible time to be alive!
