Your choice controls your destination heaven or hell. It really is as simple as that. The Lord Jesus sent you to the earth so you could choose to love Him. That’s why he made mankind. He is looking for friends to like and love Him—who like being with Him, talking with Him, sharing things with Him.

While I watch people willing to do almost anything to avoid giving up their sin, I sit quietly talking with the Lord. He’s heartbroken that so many of you choose pain over joy, sickness over health, poverty over plenty, fear over love. Jesus hung on the cross and died that your sins might be forgiven. It’s really quite amazing watching the nation in which I grew up rejecting Jesus’ redemption and running pell mell to hell.

We have the choice to choose life or death, union or sex, peace or violence. We can choose the Tree of Life or The Tree of Choice [knowledge of good and evil]. The Lord wants to love us, be our friend, help us, counsel us, show us truth. His heart’s desire is to bless us. After all, He is betrothed to us. Yes, we [those who know Him] are His choice to be His Bride. What an honor, What a delight!

By definition: Heaven is being with the Lord. Hell is being separated from him. We all know what that separation is like. We see it in the horror films, those dark dramas which are so popular, the anti-heroes, the devastated lives of so many.

There is a big difference between the two.

The devil is a smooth talker, charming. A man you would never want your daughter to meet or your son to befriend. Even the heathen know that. The devil provides freedom to sin. He doesn’t tell you about the cost. He’s an abuser, a nasty, immoral being who hates you and delights in abusing you. He will force himself upon you at the slightest hint of an opportunity. Rape doesn’t bother him.

Jesus is the perfect gentleman. He never comes where He’s not wanted. Before anything bad happens to us, He always warns us. You know what will happen if you ignore Him.

Repent! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand! Turn to Jesus and live. Be blessed.
