The church is in trouble and few do anything about it. Recognize satan’s attacks on the pastors as a real problem. Many of the new “live” churches are having just as much trouble.

Statistics on Pastors – Into Thy Word Ministries.

I found these statistics at the Schaeffer Institute site today. As you read them, do not think that we are infested with bad pastors (though that can be true in individual cases). The problem is that Satan knows that he can destroy a church by attacking its leadership. Do we need better pastoral support? Certainly. Do we need pastors with stronger character? Obviously. Does anyone really see the focus of warfare at the churches? Rarely.

Are you praying for your pastor? Have you put any thought into the warfare they live with on a daily basis?

I have experienced the incredible attack of the enemy upon pastors and I live with one. It is amazing how effective the enemy attacks are because there is no one resisting— out of simple ignorance. Pastors are not taught about this reality. In general, churches and church members have no idea of this aspect of leadership.

You really need to pray for your pastor and support him or her.
