Designing business card, letterhead, and stationery for an online CPA.

Basic Info: Charles P. Atkins is a Certified Public Accountant with offices at 1439 Barbarian Road, Red Wing, Minnesota 55066. His phone number is 623.892.3547 - Fax 623.892.3548. However, his entire business is done on the road out of his laptop. His location in reality is his iPhone and his MacBook Pro. So the primary items on his stationery are his logo, motto, URL, and his email address

You can see the logo below. If you choose to use this logo, the fonts are your choice, but they must be consistent with the type used in the logo. However! Chuck is really tired of the current look. It looks professional, but he wants something more contemporary — yet it must look solid and trustworthy. After all, he is a CPA. But he does have a good sense of humor & does not take himself too serious. Often he works from his hog.

The motto is YOUR WIRELESS BOOKKEEPER.

The first major problem is that this is a 2-color spot job using 2 PMS colors. You must choose what colors they are. You cannot use black. You can see is current logo below.

You need a design for a letterhead: no bleed, 2-color, 8.5"x11"

You need a design for a business card: full bleed allowed, 2-color, 2"x3.5"

You need a design for a #10 envelope: 1-color, no bleed, .25" margins minimum

The second major problem is that the printer chosen by Mr. Wireless C. P. A. demands preseparated PDFs

You will submit three separated PDFs with marks. You must have appropriate margins, fonts, point sizes, and so on.

GRADING (if you are taking my MSB class):

The project is worth 50 points

30 points for a minimum setup using the current logo

5 extra points for a professional solution using the same logo in a consistent manner

Up to 20 points extra for an excellent new logo with a superb layout

Penalties:

• -5 points for each typo
• -7 points each for wrong size of the PDF documents
• -17 points for each missing piece
• -7 points for missing marks (each PDF)
• -6 points each for extra or process colors
