I've been teaching these things for a long time with exceptional response
-
Since 1967, I have been a graphic designer specializing in print production
-
Since 1991, teaching digital publishing for print. I took over the Commercial printing program and taught artowrk, prepress, press operation, and bindery.
-
Starting in 1993, began a PDF workflow in Commercial Printing classes. It became obvious to me that the future of traditional offset lithography was going to be a radical shift to a new paradigm.
-
By early 1995, using a full digital workflow in all of my classes I was asked by Delmar Publishing to write and design the first textbook using the new digital production techniques exclusively.
-
By 1996, offering all courses online to interested students
-
In 2004, awarded 2-year teacher of the year for the international Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs: Region 6
If you decide that I can meet your need
We will set up a a time and location to meet your needs. I also work, on call, as a mentor and troubleshooter with a surprising low retainer.
I have done a lot of consulting and troubleshooting ranging from a four hour seminar at many locations to a year-long contract to develop training materials for a very large corporation as they switched from Quark 4 on OS9 to InDesign CS2 on Windows XP.
I have trained entire prepress departments as they went digital and continue to train people, companies, and on-house design departments in the use of the latest software.
Since 1999 I have been focused on InDesign and Adobe's growth into the sole provider of design software in a suite. Normally, I can offer training on the Creative Suite beginning on the release date. Often I have these materials available in print or as PDF downloads through Radiqx Press. Plus, you can go directly to my publishing store at Lulu.com.
